Set during the
years 1978-1988, "The Amazing Adventures of Della, The Dwarf" is the unforgettable story of Della Mae Harrison,
a vibrant and charismatic little person from Christmas, Florida.
Living in emotional bondage with her eccentric aunt,
Della's life suddenly changes dramatically with the arrival of Mavis Sue Blanton, a new boarder in Aunt Cora Jean's home.
Soon Della and Mavis Sue set out together on an epic adventure that takes them all the way from the backwoods
of Central Florida to New York City during the AIDS ravaged 1980's.
Along this incredible journey, Della discovers,
not only herself, but also the true nature of "family" and friendship.
